We love snowshoeing! You can choose from several options to get your snowshoeing on with the Outdoor Adventure Club:
- Guided snowshoe weekends in Lassen, based out of our house near the park
- Stay in our house in Tahoe and enjoy the many snowshoe trails there
- Snowshoe winter camp trips in Yosemite and Lassen- sleep in a snow cave!
Guided Snowshoe Weekends in Lassen National Park:
Our guided snowshoe weekends in Lassen are some of the most fun trips we offer all year. Everyone loves them. Hikers love getting out and getting great exercise in the winter. Experienced snowshoers love getting out into a new area, under the watchful eye of an experienced, professional guide. Others just want to try something new with OAC friends. Whatever your reason, you should join the fun, and sign up for one of our guided snowshoe trips!
On our Lassen snowshoe weekends, we stay in our house in the town of Mineral, just outside of Lassen National Park. We snowshoe on Saturday and Sunday, and return to the house for warm beds, showers and a fire in the evening. On Full Moon Weekends, we take another short trip out on Saturday night to view the full moon, and the special view of the landscape that only the light of a full moon can create. It’s awesome!
The experienced, professional guides of the Outdoor Adventure Club will take you off the marked trails to enjoy the backcountry that few get to see or travel over. Your guides are all Wilderness First Responders, have an abundance of experience, and are well trained. All our guides have AIARE avalanche training. Most of our guides are also AIARE avalanche educators. You’re in good hands when you sign up for an adventure with the Outdoor Adventure Club.
Snowshoe camping weekend trips in Yosemite and Lassen:
Now it’s time for adventure! Backpacking doesn’t have to stop just because there is snow on the ground. We backpack in the winter and spring on snowshoes. You’ll snowshoe to a remote location where we’ll set up our backcountry snow camp, including building a snow cave! You can sleep in a tent or snow cave, as you prefer.
In addition to the fun of snowshoeing, when you join us for a weekend of snowshoe camping you’ll learn winter survival skills, including creating shelter, staying warm, and navigating in a whiteout.
On all our guided snowshoe trips your guide will be experienced, well trained, and fun to spend the weekend with. Join the fun!
